A freeze warning is in effect for the northern half of central Indiana, where temperatures have dropped into the upper 20s and even the freezing mark. Despite this, temperatures are expected to remain cool and dry throughout the day. However, by Wednesday, high pressure will shift east and bring warmer conditions, leading to a surge in temperatures reaching the 60s and lower 70s. An installed frontal system is expected to move towards the region by Thursday, triggering scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm across northern parts of the state. Despite a few showers early Saturday morning, most of the weekend will be relatively quiet.
