NASA's first human moon mission in 50 years is set to launch on April 1, with four astronauts on board for a round-the-moon mission. The mission will initially rocket to low Earth orbit from NASA's in Florida, carrying NASA's (commander), (pilot) and (mission specialist), along with mission specialist of the (CSA). If all goes to plan, the Orion capsule carrying the astronauts will perform a crucial "trans-lunar injection" burn, sending them to a realm no humans have visited since 1972. The highlight of the mission will be a few-hour period when the astronauts fly around the back side of the moon, at a distance as close as 5,000 miles. Following a roughly 10-day journey, Artemis 2 aims to splash down off the coast of San Diego.
