Mamadou Diallo, a Kansas City man accused of repeatedly selling the same vehicles online and returning them, has pleaded guilty to six counts of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and eight counts of forgery. The case involved a months-long pattern of fraudulent sales arranged through Facebook Marketplace. The transactions often involved the same two vehicles, a gray 2013 Honda Civic and a brown 2013 Buick Verano, being sold multiple times. The scheme netted between $2,300 and $4,000 per sale, totalling approximately $24,600 in reported losses. Diallo will serve four years in prison.
