Denton woman charged after fire marshal says Snider Station Road house fire was set

A Denton woman, Jennifer Jean Smith, has been charged with second-degree arson after she intentionally set fire to her own home, leading to an arson charge. The fire marshal determined that the fire was set deliberately. The Davidson County Sheriff's Office and the Fire Marshal's Office responded to a residential fire at a Snider Station Road home. Smith was placed back into the Davidson County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court today.
