Mary Beth Hurt, a storied actress known for her roles in films such as "Interiors" and "The World According to Garp," has died at 79 from Alzheimer's disease. Her husband, director Paul Schrader, and daughter, Molly, shared their grief on social media. Hurt, who starred in several major films from the late '70s to mid '90s, was nominated for three Tony Awards and a BAFTA and an Independent Spirit Award. She also worked with Schrader on "Light Sleeper" and 1997's "Affliction."
