Renee Perez has been arrested in relation to the 2024 killing of Linda Campitelli, a nurse and mother, who was found dead in Lake Worth in October 2024. The case began in October 2025 and investigators found that Campitell's injuries were consistent with blunt force trauma. The two had been involved in a relationship for about two years and met while working together at the same hospital. Perez initially claimed to have left work but returned five hours later wearing different shoes.
