One injured in stabbing at Ronstadt Center in downtown Tucson

A stabbing occurred at the Ronstadt Center in downtown Tucson on April 3, causing injuries that were not life-threatening. This is the 19th violent incident connected to public transit in Tucson in a year. The Tucson Police Department has reported on 18 other violent crimes since April 5, 2025, involving public transit. Most of these incidents involved a knife or hatchet being used. Daniel Michael Jr. allegedly attacked a man and woman with a hatchet at a Sun Link streetcar stop, resulting in the death of the victim, Jacob Couch. The incidents have been reported by 13 News.
