Milwaukee Lyft driver, Candice Kozinski, was carjacked at gunpoint early Saturday morning while driving with a group of passengers near 41st and Hampton. Kozinski claims that four men held her at a gunpoint and demanded she get out of her car. The incident occurred shortly after 3 P.M. on Saturday, when she arrived to pick up her fourth ride from a female passenger. The perpetrators then fled with her car, which was later recovered by the police. Despite this, Kozinski has since quit her job as a PSR at Aurora and has been targeted for carjacking since the start of 2026. Data from the Milwaukee Police Department shows that there have been 40 total carjackings since then, a decrease of 44% compared to the previous year.
