Democrat rep. set to go to 'trial' over allegations of stealing FEMA funds

Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a Democrat from Florida, is set to face a public trial by the House Ethics Committee over allegations that she stole $5 million in FEMA funds. The allegations stem from an overpayment made to a company owned by her family, Trinity Healthcare Services, which had a FEMA-funded contract. If convicted, she could face up to 53 years in prison.
