The state of Connecticut has increased its funding for every school district and municipality from fiscal year 2027, with a total of $1,142,970. The increase is designed to close critical funding gaps in school budgets and town finances without raising property taxes. The funding aims to address these issues by giving municipalities more flexibility to stabilize or reduce mill rates. The bill was approved with overwhelming bipartisan support from both the Democrat and Republican parties.
