All Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) have called for a public hearing from Defense Department (DOD) officials regarding the ongoing Iran war. This comes after lawmakers in both parties were unsatisfied with information shared during classified briefings. The 27 lawmakers called for the Department of Defense to testify before the House of Representatives. They also expressed concern over the shifting strategic and operational objectives of the conflict and lack of clarity regarding the use of U.S. ground forces in the region. The U.N. military has continued to strike inside Iran, destroying over 10,000 targets and killing at least 13 service members in the conflict.
