Trump Weighs Major Move As Americans Face Endless Airport Delays

President Donald Trump is considering sending the National Guard to assist ICE agents and TSA at airport security lines across the nation amid ongoing delays. Despite the Department of Homeland Security shutdown, TSA could face a challenge in retaining and recruiting agents, as officers are currently working without pay and around 480 have quit since the shutdown started. TSA Deputy Administrator Adam Stahl warned that the longer the government goes unfunded, Stahl predicted that major events like the World Cup and summer travel could cause additional strain on air travel. Negotiations between Congress and the House are ongoing regarding immigration reform, but other agencies including FEMA, the Coast Guard, and the DHS have also been caught in the crossairs.
