Temperatures drop but winds prevail

A cold front will bring temperatures back to an average of around 40 degrees Fahrenheit, with 30-40 mph gusts over the interstate and 50-60 mph over the high country. Increasing cloud cover is expected to continue throughout the day, but any moisture from these clouds will likely not reach the ground due to the dry weather. A Red Flag Warning is still in place for eastern Colorado due to ongoing wind gusts.
