Three in-state Div. I men's basketball teams, including Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Tennessee State, have earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Vanderbilt Commodores are the highest seed of the three, securing themselves as the No. 5 seed in the South Region and will play against McNeese State in their first-round game. The Tennessee Volunteers are also set to play against the winner of Miami (OH) versus SMU in the Midwest Region. Meanwhile, Tennessee State won an automatic bid to the NCAA by winning the Ohio Valley Conference tournament. The SEC had the most teams in the bracket of any conference with ten.
