Tomas Amelcolima, 42, has been arrested in connection with the fatal hit-and-run that killed an 83-year-old Union City woman. The investigation began two days after Christmas and involved a vehicle that fled the scene. Following a four-month investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit, Amelicolima was arrested on April 21, 2026. He faces several serious felony charges including second-degree death by auto and second-level knowingly leaving the scene of the accident.
