Restaurant Le Colonial returning to NYC’s midtown — switching sides

The popular French-Vietnamese restaurant, Le Colonial, is returning to NYC in 2027, replacing Mangia which moved across the street. The restaurant will have 9,600 square feet on three indoor levels and $125 per square foot. It will be designed in the same elegant-tropical style as the original Le Colonial. The owner is the founder of the restaurant, Rick Wahlstedt, and Frederick Lesort. However, the block between Fifth and Sixth avenues has been blighted by large development sites.
