Brian Michael Bendis Superhero Crime Comic ‘Powers’ Getting Adult Animation Treatment from Netflix, Dark Horse (Entertainment)

Netflix is developing an adult animated series adaptation of the comic, Powers, currently published by Dark Horse Comics. The series, which stars Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, is set to be produced with Dark Horse Entertainment's Keith Goldberg and Chris Tongue executive producing. Bendis is reportedly writing the pilot and Oeming is participating in the visual development. The comic, which combines superhero genre with police procedural genre, follows two Chicago homicide detectives. It won an Eisner Award for best new series in 2001 and later moved to Icon, a Marvel imprint.
