JetBlue Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Allegedly Raising Ticket Prices Based on Customers’ Personal Data
Published on April 23, 2026.
A proposed class action lawsuit accuses JetBlue of using customers' personal data without their consent to set ticket prices. The complaint alleges that the airline tracked New York resident Andrew Phillips' personal information as he was booking airfare through the company's website for the purposes of setting prices. It also alleges that JetBlue sold Phillips' data to third parties without his consent. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of New York on April 22 and is seeking unspecified damages. A JetBlue spokesperson stated that the company does not use personal information or web browsing history to set individual pricing and that all customers have access to the same fares on Jet.
