Train derails in Salem; no injuries

A Portland and Western train derailed near the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue Northeast, causing a significant disruption to traffic. No one was injured and there is no known hazardous waste spill. Several streets have been closed, including one where the train hit a semitruck.
