Plans for an artificial intelligence-themed high school in New York City have been withdrawn following public outcry over the technology's potential impact on students. The Next Generation Technology High School was intended to be a technology-focused selective school in downtown Manhattan, with the opening set to occur as early as the 2026-27 school year.
