Morocco, a heavily dependent economy, has sufficient diesel and petrol stocks for 51 days and 55 days, while coal and gas supplies have been secured until the end of June, according to the energy ministry. Fuel stations increased diesel and fuel prices by about 30% following U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, raising tensions across the region. The Moroccan government has reintroduced diesel subsidies for professional transporters to maintain prices stable. The country has been reliant on imported diesel and gasoline since 2015 after its sole refinery shut over unpaid debts and entered liquidation. The finance minister has publicly stated that the situation in the Middle East will drive inflation, although she hasn't specified how this will affect the country's fiscal deficit.
