N.J. is testing E-ZPass stickers and drivers have one big question about them

New Jersey Turnpike Authority is testing an E-ZPass sticker that could replace traditional boxy plastic transponders. The sticker is a strip of plastic containing an RFID digital chip and an antenna, and is powered when read by a toll reader. The authority is testing the stickers in agency fleet vehicles and could make a decision to use them based on their portability. There are currently multiple state toll systems that already use the sticker, including the Illinois Tollway and toll roads in California, Florida, and Texas. However, manufacturers and toll agencies have stated that portability is a definite no.
