Spring gardening season starts in Metro Detroit

The spring gardening season is officially underway in Metro Detroit, with gardeners preparing for the ground and getting ready for crops that can withstand colder temperatures. The Old Farmer's Almanac provides detailed planting calendars based on location and exact spring and fall dates for veggies, fruits, and herbs, with earliest dates based on the last spring frost. For example, Detroiters should be starting seeds indoors for arugula, cauliflower, basil and other plants.
