The Arkansas Office of Outdoor Recreation has launched a program called Guide AR, a network and directory of outdoor adventure guides operating in the state. The goal is to connect visitors and residents with guides for some of Arkansas' most popular outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, rock climbing, cycling, paddling and hiking. The program also aims to ensure that guides are operating in Arkansas and have the correct licenses, safety credentials, and business registration. The directory will be displayed on the state's tourism website.
