Oklahoma lawmakers have passed a new amendment to a Senate Joint Resolution that would reduce costs surrounding Medicaid Expansion. The House voted on a Senate J Resolution amendment regarding Oklahoma Healthcare Authority rules and made amendments to it, adapting it to an HJR that the Senate ultimately did not sign. The original effort came from HJR 1067, which would have removed Medicaid Expansion from the State Constitution and would have covered the cost of the program if the federal match drops below its current rate of 90%. The House passed SJR 50 amendments, which already had votes from the Senate. This follows a period of disagreement between the Senate and the House, where the Senate seems to approve earlier than the House.
