Callandor Group has launched a dedicated registry for sports intellectual property, the first in the AI era, to protect athletes' digital identities and identify them as contributors to the AI economy. The company argues that athletes are increasingly being absorbed into AI systems without compensation or consent. Callandor's CEO, Michael Fisk, leads the company alongside co-CEO David Cassidy and CTO An Vu, who are developing the “Event Horizon API” aimed at securing AI queries and safeguarding athlete data. The platform allows athletes to license their digital identities, collect royalties when AI systems draw on their likeness or performance data, and provides a route to commercialize video libraries as training material for AI developers while remaining compliant with the European Union’s AI Act. European soccer is the company's primary target market.
