Disney's "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place" is set to return for its final season, with Selena Gomez set to make her directorial debut on one of four episodes. The reboot will begin production in the first full week of April and will continue to pick up where season two left off with the loss of Gomez's character, Alex Russo. The premiere episode will feature costars David Henrie, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora and Mimi Gianopulos. Despite Alex sacrificing herself for her daughter at the end of the second season, Gomez will reprise her role in the last season.
