The original Aragorn actor, Viggo Mortensen, has approved of a recast in the upcoming Lord of the Rings movie The Hunt for Gollum, where Jamie Dornan will replace him. The film is set in between Bilbo Baggins' 111th birthday and before Frodo sets off on his quest to find Gollom. Other familiar faces are returning, including Elijah Wood as Frodo, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, and Lee Pace as Thranduil. The director, Andy Serkis, confirmed that Mortensen has given his approval to the recast.
