A public health alert has been issued for meat and poultry products due to a salmonella threat. The alert affects some Mama Cozzi's biscuit crust breakfast pizza products. The FDA-regulated dairy ingredients in these products may be contaminated with Salmonella. The Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service expects additional products to be identified. The problem is traced to dry milk powder used as an ingredient in the affected products. Consumers are urged not to consume these products and retailers are urged to serve or sell them.
