These discoveries suggest that the mathematical truths that govern prime numbers may also govern fundamental laws of the universe. The Riemann hypothesis, a key theory of number theory, suggests that the zeta function, whose zeros always improve the original estimate, can enhance the original value. Anyone who proves this will receive a $1-million Clay Mathematics Institute prize. Researchers from the University of Cambridge and the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Saclay, have also found that a "conformal" symmetry emerges inside the chaos close to a singularity, leading them to a "complex" prime number. The researchers are yet to confirm this claim.
