Mumford, the male African lion who lived at St. Paul's Como Park Zoo and Conservatory for seven years, died at the age of 10. He was diagnosed with an untreatable tumor in his nasal sinuses and was receiving hospice care. His condition deteriorated and he was euthanized. The lion's companion, Maji, remains at the zoo and is being monitored by a team.
