Andrej Selivra, Los Angeles mayor candidate, 2026 primary election questionnaire

The Southern California News Group has compiled a questionnaire for the 2026 primary election candidates ahead of the June primary election. The questionnaire includes three main challenges facing Los Angeles: Get homeless off the streets, create a MetroX shuttle system, and create micro-grants for groups of volunteers/organizations to clean up and improve the city. The candidate also highlighted the need for comprehensive disaster-preparedness standardized operating procedures and inventory control. If elected, Andrej Selivra would prioritise LADOT, which currently runs at a $195mm/year loss, and increased investment into entertainment events and venues, each with a 25% city tax that is waived for LA city residents, to encourage tourism.
