The Southern California News Group has compiled a questionnaire to ask the candidates for the June 2026 primary election. The questionnaire includes three top issues: helping Californians recover from a wildfire, providing free settlements for the wildfire, maintaining healthcare subsidies and reducing prescription drug costs. The candidate for the California Assembly, who also holds positions in Monterey Park City Councilmember and Mayor, Garvey School Board Member, and Member of the California State Board of Equalization, also mentioned voter ID, war powers, immigration, and the need for states to have control over their own elections. The questions were edited for length and some instances of hate speech and offensive language.
