Canadian astronaut Josh Kutryk is set to fly on the upcoming Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station (IS) by September 2026. The mission was announced less than two weeks after a mission from Canada's space agency, the Royal Canadian Air Force, ended in a mission around the ISS. This is significant for both Canada and its military, as both Kutryryk and Hansen are colonels in the RAF. The CSA normally flies to the ISS about every six years under the international partnership. Kutryak will spend half a year on the ISS as a part of Expeditions 75 and 76, becoming the first CSA astronaut to do so in eight years. His assignment will include science experiments and operational activities.
