Driver airlifted after head-on crash on N.J. highway, police say

A driver was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital following a head-on crash on a Somerset County highway. The car was traveling in the left lane when it veered off and collided with a van. The driver was removed from the vehicle by firefighters and airifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Two passengers in the car also sustained minor injuries. The crash is under investigation.
