Emily Webb, a 36-year-old single mom, has hosted a "sperm shower" for singles without a husband or serious boyfriend, where she sought sperm donors. The event, which included themed food and music, was viewed as a success by Webb. She is part of the growing army of Single Mothers By Choice (SMBC), a group of women who choose solo parenthood over waiting for a husband. The trend has been gaining traction on social media, with over 288,000 posts on Instagram and 24,600 on TikTok. Despite the stress and inconvenience of the process, Webb has found it easier to get pregnant and is looking forward to creating embryos.
