John Story, the father of Lyla Story, has met with Health Secretary Wes Streeting to discuss changes to diabetes testing. The meeting followed a debate on "Lyla's Law", which would require routine paediatric testing for those showing symptoms, which supporters believe will be a lasting legacy for Lyl. The government has previously stated it has no plans to introduce routine testing at the current time. Despite the meeting, Story said Streeting committed to ongoing efforts to improve diabetes testing and prevent people from becoming too ill before being diagnosed.
