Bills to restrict ICE at child care centers, college campuses heard at Capitol

A bill introduced in the Minnesota House would restrict when federal agents can access to a college campus without identification, statement of purpose, and a judicial warrant. The bill was opposed by Republicans who questioned the cost of training personnel for such a law enforcement operation. The Senate also supported a bill that required valid identification, a valid judicial warrant, and would prevent federal agents from entering child care centers. Both bills failed to pass in the House, with Republicans voting against them.
