The Atlanta Braves won their season-opening homestand 5-1 over the Athletics, despite Shea Langeliers' MLB-leading home run. Drake Baldwin drove in four runs and Chris Sale pitched one-hit ball over six innings. The Athletics plan to move to Las Vegas in 2028, when they are scheduled to open play at a new ballpark. The win was another strong outing for Sale, who threw six scoreless innings against Kansas City.
