Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume has predicted that Republicans would lose control of the House and possibly the Senate if the 2026 midterms were held in the midst of the Iran conflict. Much of this depends on how the war on Iran proceeds. Despite this, Hume remains hopeful about the outcome of the conflict, stating that if successful, the GOP will have a strong case for re-evaluation.
