Mets rookie Nolan McLean is set to play in the World Baseball Classic final, where he may face Italy in the championship. Despite a rough start in the US' final game against Italy, McLean insists he feels good about playing for Team USA and believes it is an "unbelievable experience" and that players who chose not to participate are "crazy." This comes after U.S. starter Tarik Skubal and Twins' Joe Ryan both declined to participate in the tournament. McLean, who impressed in his rookie season with the Mets last year, posted a 2.06 ERA and will still be rookie until 2026.
