Texas Tech guard Christian Anderson has been named All-Big 12 First Team and Most Improved Player for the Big 12. Anderson, who averaged 19.2 points and a conference-leading 7.8 assists per game, was voted the highest in the league with 38.6 minutes per game. This comes after the loss of Big 12 Player of the Year JT Toppin to a torn ACL. The only other Red Raider to earn any postseason honors was Donovan Atwell, who broke the Big-11 record for 3-pointers in conference play.
