Popemobile child clinic yet to reach Gaza one year after Francis's death

On the first anniversary of Pope Francis's death, one of his last wishes is to convert his popemobile into a mobile clinic for children in Gaza. The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem has argued that this does not apply to Caritas Jerusalem as it has a long-standing legal status. Israeli defence body Cogat, which controls the crossings to Gaza, has arranged for two mobile clinics to be sent by the Latin Patriarchates in February and is not aware of any request to bring additional vehicles into the Strip. The decision to send these mobile clinics could show the goodwill of Israel and show respect for the late pope's spiritual heritage.
