Leslie Grace, a Dominican American actress, has released a new album following a successful career in music. She starred in two independent films at the Sundance Film Festival, In the Summers and Stages, which she credits for their success. Her first big role in the Batgirl movie was among the films indefinitely shelved by Warner Bros. and used as a tax write-off. She credits her success to her co-star René Pérez Joglar, Puerto Rican rapper Residente, who tipped her off to Jonás Cuarón’s adaptation of Aura Xilonen. Both films were filmed while Grace took a self-imposed hiatus from music to focus on songwriting and recording, while also pursuing an acting career. The album was released two years into her career.
