This Unexpected Laundry Habit Is A Potential Sign Of ADHD

A "floordrobe" is a place where we leave either clean or not quite dirty clothes left on the floor or hanging over a chair for days or more than a week. This is often a struggle for many people to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer, which adds to the misery of having to start all over to avoid mildew. Michigan-based psychotherapist and ADHD coach Terry Matlen found this to be a sign of ADHD. He found that it takes 21 minutes for him to put away three baskets of laundry, seven minutes per basket, and seven minutes for each basket. Matlen suggests ways to increase novelty or increase immediate rewards once a task is completed.
