President Donald Trump has used a video of a brutal attack allegedly by a Haitian immigrant, Rolbert Joachin, to justify his administration's mass deportation agenda. The video was posted on his Truth Social account and shows a man allegedly beating a woman with a hammer at a Florida gas station. The victim, identified as a 51-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh, was a mother of two adult daughters. Critics argue that the president unfairly paints all immigrants as criminals in an effort to bolster his immigration agenda. Critics also argue that immigrants living in the U.S. illegally are less likely to have been arrested for violent, drug and property crimes than native-born Americans.
