Dine Brand Global CEO John Peyton shared his vision for 2025 for consumers to value value and the quality of the service. Both Applebee and IHOP have struggled, with year-over-year comparable domestic same-restaurant sales decreasing 0.4% and 0.3% respectively. As Peyton works to turn both brands around, a key Applebee’s franchise operator, Neighborhood Restaurant Partners, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company, which owns Applebee's, is not part of the bankruptcy filing. The bankruptcy cases were filed in Georgia Northern Bankruptcy Court on March 24.
