Renck: Broncos’ Garett Bolles is man of the people, whether honoring military veterans or changing tires

Garett Bolles, a former first-round pick for the Broncos, is known for his compassion and respect for others. He recently hosted 52 veterans from the Korean and Vietnam Wars at a USAA office in preparation for Honor Fight No. 22, an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. for which he hopes their service is appreciated. The event was personal, with Bolles' grandfather, who served in the Korean War, recently passed away. The veterans shared their experiences, but their declining health could not mask their pride. Bolles said the event was about them, not about him, but about them.
