Police seek clues in theft of $7,700 guitar: North Olmsted Police Blotter

Police are investigating the theft of a $7,700 guitar by a man from Guitar Center in North Olmsted, Ohio. The Collings I35 LC V Natural hollow body guitar was missing at 8:30 p.m. as employees were closing for the day. The store manager provided a description of a suspicious person with a guitar case. Police identified the suspect as a Westlake man and were seeking a warrant for him on a petty theft charge through the Rocky River Municipal Court. The theft was captured on security video and identified as the thief. Police also stopped a pickup truck on I-480 for dark window tint and an obstructed rear license plate, but the driver provided a different name, date, birth, and Social Security number when he was fingerprinted.
