Amazon has launched a free healthcare AI assistant on its website and app, allowing customers to access results, connect patients with their providers and answer questions about medications and symptoms. The service was previously exclusive to members of One Medical, the company's clinical services provider. The assistant can help manage symptoms, conduct virtual assessments, and provide treatment advice for non-emergency conditions such as acne, head lice, diabetes, and sleep apnea. It does not create treatment plans and will connect patients to a provider when necessary.
